Share

The University of Florida (UF) recently announced a new initiative within its Warrington College of Business focusing on the role and impact of growing digital markets. UF plans to provide new opportunities for rigorous and relevant research on the topic as well as faculty enhancements and fellowships, student mentorship, and public engagement through workshops, conferences, and lectures.

The Charles Koch Foundation’s $6 million gift will help support the school’s efforts by funding two professorships, three graduate and postdoctoral fellowships, grants for visiting scholars, a director’s stipend and outreach activities, as well as provide other program support.

“We’re excited to support the University of Florida in this initiative to provide an environment where scholars and students can explore the impact technological innovation has on individuals and communities,” said Ryan Stowers, Executive Vice President of the Charles Koch Foundation.

“We’re grateful to the Charles Koch Foundation for partnering with us to progress scholarly research,” Warrington College of Business Dean John Kraft said. “This gift will help our faculty dive deeper into the ever-dynamic field of digital markets, which is poised to impact the future of how we conduct business and the evolution of our society.”
