Arizona State University announced this month the launch of a new center. The Center for Political Thought and Leadership, headed by Professor Donald T. Critchlow, will focus on issues such as the foundations of civic engagement and “will encourage community involvement, create a network to foster students’ careers, and provide a path for scholars to speak to the larger world.” Director Richard Fink commended the exploration of historical political ideas as “an essential lens through which we can gain perspective on what has been most effective in helping people improve their lives.”
