Cornell Law School’s Migration and Human Rights Program is exploring the impact a points-based immigration system could have in the U.S with a one-year research grant from the Charles Koch Foundation.
“Empirical research studying the effects of different immigration systems will deepen society’s understanding of this critical issue,” said Charles Koch Foundation Executive Vice President Ryan Stowers. “We look forward to learning what Cornell scholars discover as a result of this important project.”
Cornell Law School partnered with the Charles Koch Foundation last fall, sponsoring the Cornell Law School Dreamer Conference, which presented a comprehensive overview of the legal and political situation around Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and other forms of temporary immigration status.
