Share

The University of Virginia School of Law announced it will begin a project focused on improving the criminal justice system through the collection and analysis of criminal justice data. The Virginia Criminal Justice Policy Reform Project will be led by Professor Brandon Garrett, a wrongful convictions scholar, and the project’s first year of work will be supported by the Charles Koch Foundation.

“The project will focus on rigorous analysis of data, and it will be objective and nonpartisan,” said Garrett, “It is designed to promote fairer outcomes that are evidence-based, without sacrificing crime control.”
